Onancock Harborfest

The fun begins Friday at 5 pm with the Second Friday Art Stroll when shops, galleries and the Onancock School are open until 8 pm featuring artists, special guests, and entertainment. At the Wharf, the fun goes on into the evening with a concert by Onancock’s own Johnny Mo and his rockin’ band Quadpod. Enjoy music, food and fun throughout the day on Saturday. It begins with a 5K Run, followed by a kayak/canoe race, Critter Parade, Rubber Duck Race, Great Paper Boat Race, and horseshoe tournament. The Navy Fleet Forces Band is scheduled to play Saturday afternoon and Assault Craft Unit 2 will provide a 138ft Landing Craft to be moored at the Town Wharf. The "Watershed Walk" will bring fun and learning opportunities for kids to the Town Square Park.

32nd Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival

On the boardwalk in Bethany Beach and adjacent streets. Delmarva’s premier fine art event. More than 100 fine artists display and sell their work against a backdrop of sun, sand and surf. Live music and a silent auction add to the fun of this juried show. Admission is free.

Delaware Saengerbund Oktoberfest

enjoy authentic German entertainment and cuisine. The “Enzian Volkstanzgruppe," a Bavarian dance group, performs in traditional costumes with the men dressed in “Lederhosen” and the women in “Dirndl”. Music is provided by live bands. The food is not to be missed. Enjoy grilled Bratwurst, Weisswuurst, Frankfurters, BBQ chicken, pretzels and Rollmops followed by Torten and plum cake. Bavarian souvenirs are available for purchase and the amusement rides are included in the price of admission, which is only $7.

Newark Film Festival

Held in Newark and Wilmingtom. The return of the Newark Film Festival. See award-winning movies that have created a buzz at top international and national film festivals. Oktoberfest in Downtown Rehoboth

The wurst is the best! Participating restaurants will present special menus and an Oktoberfest salute to well-brewed beer, sausages and much more. The event, presented by Rehoboth Beach Main Street, will bring you the best in German cuisine coupled with a great party atmosphere, terrific music and the raising of a beer stein or three or four- within the participating restaurants! 3rd Annual Fall Tomato Festival

As one of the largest crops harvested on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, its time to salute and celebrate the tomato! Friday-Sunday along Mason Ave., in the historic downtown of Cape Charles this event-filled weekend includes a Friday evening concert at the Historic Palace Theatre, parade, Mason Ave Art Walk, Antique and Classic Car Show, Tomato-based Recipe Tasting contest and vendors with tomato-happy food offerings, a "Tomato Ball", and Bay Creek Railway excursion runs. The grand finale fireworks.

Annual Chincoteague Island Oyster Festival

This event is held to promote the seafood industry and mark the arrival of the oyster season. It is an all you can eat festival consisting of oysters prepared just about every way imaginable, steamed crabs, clam fritters, clam chowder, hush puppies, potato salad, cole slaw, hot dogs, and various beverages. There will be live entertainment for everyone’s enjoyment. An Extravaganza Raffle is held. The winner will receive T-shirts, tickets, lodging, gift certificates for meals, and much more for the following year’s festival. A favorite at the festival is the “Best Place/Space Award”. This is given to the best decorated area. Call the chamber for details. There will also be a variety of souvenirs available for purchase. This is an advance ticketed event. Tickets will sell out. There are usually no tickets sold at the gate. The Chamber accepts Visa and MasterCard. There will be a $5.00 charge for certified mailing. Chrysanthemum Festival

November 1-November 21, chrysanthemums take center stage at Longwood Gardens. During this festival, more than 200,000 chrysanthemums are arranged in amazing configurations inside the four-acre indoor Conservatory. Cascades of chrysanthemums drape the walls while spiral chrysanthemum forms climb skyward towards a towering, three-tier chandelier constructed of vibrant yellow chrysanthemums hanging from the Conservatory ceiling.
